Winter’s coming close…

It is beginning to be really cold here in Sweden, a bit earlier than usual.

You can almost see it in these images. Though the late afternoon sun, it looks cold, or is it maybe just me who was there, with freezing fingers? I don’t know.

But the summer is so very far away…

For every day that goes, it is coming one day closer though, I have to see it that way.

Enjoy, and have a lovely week!  🙂

  1. The atmosphere of the pics are as describe them; it seems that global change is make its way (unfortunately!).
We are above 23 ºC and with a heavy humidity as to need to use air conditioning for a while in the afternoon (yeah, I know we are crazy!!)

    • Wow, and we had -7 C last night… Still below 0 in the middle of the day… Now it is back on -5….
      We don’t need air conditioning…. 😉
      Thanks a lot Jesús!

  2. Lovely Marie. Sounds like the weather is closing in on you early.. We’re still sweltering with 30+ degrees and high humidity. I’m going over to Holland in a few weeks to see my mom……I’m sure it will be cold over there. Super images. Lovely lighting. You can see the sun is lower in the sky already. Have a great week.

  3. These are wonderful images Marie and I do hope that the storms from this past week have not caused too much havoc for you. I have to say the second image is particularly striking in composition, the colours of a dying day captured beautifully. This Kodak Porta wins again!

    • Thank you very much James!
No, the storm didn’t reach Stockholm at all, it went south of where I live. Just light breeze and some rain, so it went really well. Did they find the young boy you told us about?

        • Okey, let’s hope he is back and safe with his family again.
They actually mentioned that in the swedish news last weekend, but just that he was missing, then I have not heard any more either..
Let us hope for his best and safety.

  4. I just adore the mood of these two cold and somnolent photos, bathed in a brilliant radiance…a somber contrast to the encroaching frigidness of dark shadow vying with those last glorious bands of light. To me, these photos say, “Home”. Fantastic…Beautiful, evokes such emotion. Hope you are remaining warm there these late wintry November days. Hugs and happy weekend to you,

    Autumn Jade
