E6, DIY, finally…
For more than six months ago I bought my first developing kit with E6 chemicals. For six months now, I have been thinking; do I dare? So much can go wrong…
Then at last, I thought that, what the heck, do it anyway! And I did, and I must say that there was nothing to be scared about.
A bit tricky to keep the water bath at 38*C, but otherwise it was as easy as developing C41.
And here are some of my first results, from this summer, and I think the colours are great. The film is Kodak Ektachrome 100VS.
If you hesitate to try yourself, well, don’t! Go for it!
Enjoy! 🙂
Fantastic!!!
Great colors, Marie!!!!!!
Thanks a lot Jesus!
so beautiful place
Thank you!
You’re welcome☆
Good job with the process. Just hold to the mantra of time, temperature and agitation. E-6 is a very beautiful medium and you have used nicely.
Thank you very much! 🙂
I have a couple of exposed Velvia 50, both 4×5 and 120 in my fridge, they will be the next to process.
Congratulations! Your first pictures are beautiful.
Thank you! 🙂
Congrats on your first E6 developed roll. These are nice!!!
Thanks a lot Grazie!
Stunning images indeed! Well done, so glad you gathered up the courage and went for it (I would LOVE to try this one day, too)- results are so crisp and clear, with such dazzling, scrumptious colour indeed. Beautiful images! Many cheers to you,
Autumn Jade
Thank you very much!
Absolutely fantastic depth in the colours Marie, and the double exposure really stands out for me. Hope you have a great week.
Thank you very much James!
We have cold and crisp and actually sunny weather here, and, yes, it is a good week.
Hope yours is great too!
You were so right to give it a try 🙂
Thank you! It was easier than I thought it would be, so I will definitely do it again. Much cheaper and faster to do it yourself… 😉
