See the man furthest into the image? Alone on a bench in Stockholm City Hall…..
Well, to be honest, that’s a huge lie…..
Bordercollie – philosophic, no way….
But in these photos he actually looks that way, calm and satisfied. He really likes to sit on this little jetty and look out over the lake. And then of course, I have to take the opportunity to perpetuate this rare moment.
My darling dog, Filip, 7 years old, and actually quite happy!
Enjoy!
Today it will be a few pictures I took when I was over to Åland a day in the summer.
(I have a whole lot of films to scan and go through at the moment, so pictures from my vacation week on the Swedish west coast will have to wait a little while.)
At Eckerö I found this wonderful lady who sat and painted watercolors, I asked her if it was okay to photograph her, and I took two pictures. Unaccustomed as I am to photograph people, the images were not quite as I hoped. I had wanted to take a few close-ups, both of her and also of her painting, but I did not want to disturb her more than this. I have emailed the pictures to her, but have not received a reply, so I hope everything is okay with her.
If you see this post, I hope you think it’s okay! Please, get in touch or leave a comment here!
In Åland, especially here at Käringsund, Eckerö where I was, many of the rocks are of red granite, incredibly beautiful! The gravel road is also from the beautiful red granite, so what may look like magenta cast in the pictures are actually not that, because it looks like this. It’s a wonderful environment to photograph in!
And as usual, I can trust this wonderful film, Fuji Astia, the discounted film I always nag about, which I love so much. Moderate saturated colors in an unobtrusive contrast.

Oh how I wish Fuji changes on this film!
Enjoy! 🙂
