And what could possibly be the appropriate title for this picture? Bug love? Bug war? Make bugs – not war….. ??
Yes, I must admit that I was not prepared properly in this scenario.
As usual, I was “just” looking for the flower, so I was quite surprised to find these two couples, in various activities in the same frame, and that they also sat there while I set the camera right.
This photo was the first for the day, so there was a lot to do. Measuring the light, increasing the exposure to compensate for the close up rings, focus, which is in itself a time-consuming procedure with a focal depth of a few millimeters with handheld camera while blowing …..
So I’m quite proud that everything ended up where it should .. 😉
Enjoy!
greco-roman wrestling on daisies?
Hehe…. Thank you Steve!
Nice title, Steve! 😀
Wonderful picture!
Lovely shot! I know it’s about the flowers and the bugs but the hexagon bokeh in the bottom corner is so great.
Thank you Liesl! Yes, I love the bokeh too. I didn’t see this when I took the photo, was too occupied with all settings, to be able to take the pict before the bugs leaved, so it really came as a nice surprice!
Maybe while the two guys on the right were fighting over her, a third guy saw his chance and stole her away!
Hehe, yes propably… Stupid bugs… 😉
love the fact that you decided shoot “Bug love? Bug war? Make bugs – not war….. ??” in b/w… so good 🙂
Thank you very much!
Yeah, I love bw flower macros, I have difficulties to get it right, so it has become a challenge for me to use bw in these cases, and when I saw this photo when I hang the film for drying after developing it, I was really happy to have used bw.
Wonderful! The black and white effect making this picture look more beautiful.
Thank you very much for your kind words! Yes, I agree, bw makes an image kind of cleaner, more focused.
Happy you like it!
Great capture that makes me smile 🙂
Thank you very much! Yes, one doesn’t find this every day… 🙂
Very funny! Which comes first, the guys on the left or the guys on the right? ; )
Yes, that we will never know… 🙂
Thank you very much!
