From a stroll in the woods

Earlier this week it was a day when it was not raining…

So I took my dogs and my camera and went for a refreshing walk in the woods. I did some double exposures and yesterday I developed the Fuji Provia 100F 120 in C41 chemicals at home.

Usually I do not crossprocess films with macro pictures, but I wanted to try this, and I am quite happy with the results.

One of the big reasons why I love working with film, is that I force myself to slow down, to be here and now, in a completely different way than when I photographed with a digital camera. Then could the thoughts flutter away while I photographed. But when I came home with almost only garbage on my memory card, I was frustrated.
How often did it happen that I would rather left my camera at home to avoid frustration, and longing for taking great photos left a hole in my soul.

So now I feel much more satisfied again, having found my way back to the film photography again.

Finally at the beginning…..

So, this will be my first post, ever….

The road here has been winding and long, and the learning curve has been steep.

But I so very much want to share my burning passion with you, and this feels so right.

So, what could be more suitable than to also share an image from a camera that has been a part of my battle this spring, my Polaroid SX70, with film from The Impossible Project, PX70 Color Shade.

I also want to thank Kim and Xanthe for inspiration and courage to finally launch this blog about my great passion.
