Forest Findings

I went to this place a very late afternoon to investigate how far the autumn colors had come. I had decided on a grove of very special trees, which I knew from before that they would be here.
The light was very weak and the sun was going down, but because I had loaded my camera with Kodak Portra 400 the images became surprisingly good.
The trees I was looking for? No, there were no pictures of them at all, maybe later, I’ll see.

A tree fungus that I do not have a clue about the name, but check the color, clear blue!

Then it was just minutes left to sunset, and I didn’t have my tripod with me, so this was the last image for the day.

Thank you Portra!  🙂

    • Thank you Steve.
I think autumn is my favourite time of the year, it is so serene itself, and the nature is taking a break too, it makes my stress handling a bit easier… Perhaps it shows in my images too.

  1. Lovely peaceful feeling to this set (and this place). I’ve just loaded one of my camera’s with Portra 400 (never used it before). Looking at your set I think I’m going to like it!

    • Thank you John! 🙂
I have used it a couple of times, but never really appreciated it until now. Yet I can see a slight cyan cast in some photos… Not sure I like that… But it is just in some of them, not in all, so my guess is that in some photos with a little bit of heaven in it, the cyan cast shows, even in the greens… But I’m not sure yet.
I look forward to your results of it, hope yours will be fine!

  2. great feeling they have this pictures! I love the forest findings title. These days mushrooms grows as nuts! I run through forest and find 1,6kg of delicious mushrooms. I guess it’s Fukushima radiation, mushrooms love radiation 🙂

    • Thank you very much!
The title came to me when not finding what I was looking for, but instead I found these…
Oh, I hope you are wrong about Fukushima, my (silly) guess is they love rain… hehe… (The one positive thing with the never ending rain in Sweden…) 😉

  3. Jag blir alldeles exalterad när jag tittar på dina bilder på ekarna…
    Som en saga.

Alla bilder i denna post är underbara, men ekarna… 🙂
    Fantatsiskt, Marie!!

    • Tack Malin!

        Kram!
