My first adventure in the world of alternative processes
Well, almost first, I’ve done lith printing before, but this is my very first Gum Bichromate print. I’m not yet convinced if I like it or not, but it’s for sure that the scan doesn’t do my print justice…..
Maybe the aquarelle paper I used was too rough? If you can see anything or give me some advice, I will be most grateful!
Here it goes…..
And here is the “original” scan from the negative
Hi Marie, I like the original as well. The roughness of the paper is evident i the print but whether or not you like that is a matter of taste so to speak. Anyway the fun is in the process.
Thanks a lot Mike!
Yes, you are right, and I know that I often have to let images be for a long long while before I like them myself, and this one is brand new, just dried…
But it was sure fun to se it happen…. And more to come, hehe….
love it!
Thank you!
It’s always hard to do a print justice when you see it on the screen, but I like how they look like. I like it a lot☺
Thank you very much Phillip! I’m glad you like it!
Looks great, I find when I try anything new that I’m never sure what to expect so the results always leave me a little underwhelmed…….until I put it down, walk away and return to it later. On my return I always pronounce it the greatest achievement of my life 🙂 . I’m living your print here!
Ohh, you are most kind!
It’s the same for me, I have to have distance to my work, then it always looks so much better.
Thank you very much! 🙂
good work, Marie!
you are always experimenting!
Thank you very much Jesús!
Yes, and I’m constantly learning new things….. 😉
I think it’s gorgeous! I love the texture of the paper.
Thank you very much Heather! 🙂
I was surprised when I saw that it looks almost like some kind of fabric… I like it too, but I think I must go for a lighter kind of colour next time with this paper…
