One negative – four different prints

I have spent some afternoons in my darkroom, and restrained myself to just one negative that I liked.

The first day I concentrated on regular black and white prints, with different papers though. But with a thought in mind that I the following day would take some of them and bleach them down, and after that redevelop them in lith developer.

Here is one of my best (for that day…) black and white prints. Printed on Ilford MGFB Warmtone paper 1K, glossy.

The second one I want to show you is this one, printed on Fomatone FBMG Chamois 542-II. This is gorgeous yellowish paper that I found out unfortunately did not lith. But with regular black and white printing it is really beautiful. I hope it shows.

From my second day, this print is bleached back and redeveloped in lith developer. This was a bit tricky, I got very different results depending on the time in the bleach bath. I think this print is my best one from that day.

The third day I concentrated on true lith prints. But I was far too coward with the exposure times, so I have nothing to show you from that day…  😉

That evening, I had to revisit my book about lith printing I bought almost a year ago, for some new inspiration.

And this is my best result from the next day’s endeavour with lith prints in my darkroom. I’m rather pleased with it….

I hope you have enjoyed, and maybe gained some inspiration too.

Have a great day! 🙂

New Year filled with expectations

I get the same wonderful feeling each New Year.  A feeling of freshness and renewal. A kind of catharsis.
And soon the light will be back!
I look forward to that very very much!
Let there be light! Lots of light!!

Enjoy!  🙂
