A visit to Gnestaplanket 2012, a photoexhibition and photo fleamarket.

As I wrote about in my last post, we, me and my son, visited a photo fleamarket and photoexhibition in Gnesta, a little rural village a bit south from Stockholm.

The flea market was kind of small, and the best things had already been sold when we got there, but I bought a photobook, some film and a couple of filters. Quite enough.

The photo exhibition was much more fun to see. About 20 something photographers showed their work on the wall  on the backside of an old trainstation building.

Very inspiring! Here is a couple of photos from the exhibition.

Enjoy!

Summer greetings from the swedish countryside

A couple of weeks ago, me and my oldest son took a trip to a small village in the swedish countryside.

On our way there, we found this beautiful clover field, and of course we had to stop and take some photos…

Isn’t Fuji Astia the most beautiful film ever seen? Creamy, smooth and soft, with full saturation and soft contrast…..

My absolute favourite film! Discontinued….. So very sad…..

This is from a beautiful village called Trosa. A river runs through the center of the village, and there is beautiful houses located along the river.

In another small village, called Gnesta, was a photo flea market and a small photoexhibition, more of that in a later post.

On our way back home again we found this fantastic barn, and of course, we had to stop again for photographing…

Weekly Photo Challenge – FREE SPIRIT

For me are trees, preferably winter trees, a symbol of a strong and free spirit.
So therefore was this picture a very obvious candidate for this week’s theme.
A double exposure straight up to the sky and the sun.
The color is because I used Lomography Redscale XR 50-200, it is a redscale film that gives different hues depending on exposure.

The higher the ISO, the more reddish the color, the lower the ISO, the more shades to the green or blue-green direction.

Almost completely unpredictable, which I like. 😀
Here is the ISO set to 100, which would normally give a reddish orange image but due to the double exposure the ISO is 50 which gives this yellow-green color.
