Forgotten all about it…..

Just when the autumn went from beautiful and enjoyable, into dark, gloomy and cold, I found a little camera in my closet that I almost had forgot I had. I have taken a couple of rolls with it but was not at all satisfied with the results. Well, in this little La Sardina, i found an almost finished roll of Lomography RedscaleXR 50-200. So, I went out and photographed the images that was left, just a couple.

I developed the film in C41, expecting nothing… So I was pleasantly surprised when the film was dry. Almost every image was photographed in this crazy Lomo style, with double- or multi exposures. Because I currently am very interested in impressionistic images, I was very pleased with the results. And this kind of motifs suited this little camera very well too.

So, what was my lesson from this? You can not have too many cameras!! 😀

  Don’t worry about it! I have tried two rolls, but I’m not satisfied with them. But a tips though, do not overexpose it, try to keep it about 400 ISO, possible 200, but not more, they get really ugly if you do.

  Yes, indeed they do! But how can I forget that I had it? Probably because it did’nt deliver what I hoped for in the first place, but this is just great! I have a black and white film, also with crazy shots like this, undeveloped in my fridge…. Maybe I have to develop it soon, now I’m getting curious… 😉

I usually underestimate the quality of plastic lens in lomo cameras. I guess it doesn’t really matter. If it’s in the hands of a talented photographer, it works like magic. In the hands of an amateur, god help us.

      The redscale film is very well suited to doubles, triples and abstract, and the XR version is great, there is some greenish tones that is sneaking into the image, depending on exposure time. You’ll never know what you get… 😉
