Got tired of autumn colors yet?
No, I didn’t think so, or at least I hope you haven’t. 😉
A couple of nice maples, perhaps? And an autumn view of a mirrored lake.
Enjoy! 🙂

It helps to be a good photographer, of course, but when you display shots like these I see why you’re besotted by film 🙂
Thank you very much! 🙂
I like a lot the last one!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
It was a beautiful beautiful day, the light was gorgeous and no wind at all….. 🙂
These are all fantastic, but the last shot is mesmerizing~!!
Thank you very much! 🙂
I have another almost like this but without the birch in the foreground, but this one is better…
I can never get enough, don’t….don’t get to see any around here! And these are a feast for the eyes! Thank you 🙂
Thank YOU!!
Well, I have more….. 😉
These are great, especially the last one—FILM RULES
Thank you!
Yepp, film rules! 😉
Golden delights! Here’s to Kodak and film shooters. Cheers 🙂
Thank you so much Jana!
Yeah, I’m actually quite upset with Kodak… But I L O V E their films….
Have a wonderful weekend!
Never too much autumn! I wish it lasted longer.
Oh no problem, just stay tuned, I have more… 😉
You make me like fall. And then, a few hours later I come back to my own sense and continue cursing the cold. Then, you make another fall album…
😀
When it is dark and cold, light a candle…..
Thank you very very much Steve!
Have a great and sunny weekend.
I like that idea better than anything else I heard to fight winter depression, of which I am severely affected. I will do that Marie.
Take care…. 🙂
The last shot is, indeed, astounding but I really love the subtle colouring in the Portra shot with the unusually ominous grey clouds as a backdrop.
Thank you very much!
It really was a magic light that day, just when the sun shines through the dark clouds, that is a “Portra-moment” !
Stunning. Really, really beautiful! and no, I’m not tired of Autumn’s colours!
What luck! There may be some more….. 😉
Thank you John!
Just gorgeous!
Thank you very much Sue!
Hi. Would you share a few tips re using the Tetenal C-41 kit? Getting back in B/W developing didn’t really scare me; I learnt when a child with my grandmother, who had no electricity and, of course, no running hot water, and we made contact prints by gaslight. But looking at some discussions, the Tetenal kit needs a higher temperature maintained very closely, short but exact development time, so difficult to do precisely – eg, where does the pouring into and out of the tank fit into the 3mins 30 secs – and what about agitation? But you said you do it in the kitchen (as would I) so I guess you don’t use a sophisticated processor. Can you give a few tips please?
Absolutely! 🙂
No, I didn’t dare to do it that way, I’m not that exact…. 😉
I use water at 30 degr C instead, a slower process, 8-11 minutes (you can develop up to 16 film from one liter chemicals) and as we here up in the north usually have about 20 degrees indoors, there is so much easier to keep 30 degr instead of 38. I use the kitchen sink, fill it with 30 degr C warm water and put a cover over the sink, and it will keep it at enough temperature as long as you need. It is just the developing part that needs to be fairly exact, not the blix or stab. I bought a aquarium heater, didn’t cost much, and is working okey. I have developed 16 films per liter now two times, and the solution holds very long time. I think I had my first solution for about three months and my results were perfect, even the last rolls.
So, just go for it, it is much much easier than you think.
Good luck 🙂
Thank you very much for this. I’m going to get some Tetenal C-41 but have been looking for the best source; would you believe that the lowest price in the UK seems to be about £19 for the 1 litre pack but there’s one supplier charging £39 (!) and lots in between. Looks as though there’s about a 2 week wait for the lowest price supplier but that’s OK as I have a busy two weeks coming up. If I can get anywhere near the wonderful colours you produce I’ll be very happy!
Oh, you will, it ain’t hard at all…. 😉
Good luck!
If I keep seeing images of Autumn as you have shot here I know that I will never tire of Autumn. Beautiful! I really love the second and fourth images in particular
Thank you very much James! Well, if it just could be autumn with those beautiful colors outside for a longer period of time….. sigh….. All the colors are gone now….
I have the same problem her, the colours have become de-saturated with all of the rain but at least we can look forward to the white of winter
Absolutely! And be prepared for those beautiful days with rime on the trees and beautiful blue skies.
Thank you very much James!
