Weekly Photo Challenge – Changing Seasons

I have always loved to return to summer paradises in winter, always enjoyed the seasonal powerful changes, and the mood that change creates.
Here are some pictures from one of my absolute favorites, Väddö in the beautiful beautiful part of Sweden called Roslagen.
A summer paradise, but in winter, still as beautiful as ever …..

Enjoy!  🙂

  1. Love when I click on a post and it makes me go “Wow”. These did that…like the frost on the windows. And it doesn’t get much better than the third shot. Nice captures.

  2. Ohhh my goodness that last image with the frozen lake is gorgeous! Everything looks frozen and the house is red, warm, and inviting. I just tried a friend’s Hasselblad because I keep seeing wonderful images like this. Stay warm this season!

    • Thank you so much Jana, I’m very happy you like them! 🙂
Yes, my Hassie (Ol’ Betty) is a dream come true and we’re going out today. The sky is clear blue and ll the trees are winter white, they look as infrared, hehe…
It is almost -20* C, so it is good to have a camera with no messy batteries! It’ll be hard for my fingers though…

  3. You can really sense the wonderful memories hiding beneath the snow and ice. I love the last photo especially!

    xoxo

    • Thanks a lot Cindy! 🙂
Yes, with this kind of images, it is hard not to think of the summer too. I like this weeks photo challenge a lot, there can be so many messages in the images…. Really challenging!

  4. I simply must jump on board with those above me, and praise your third image in this post. That old boathouse looks right at home in the hard winter conditions. Something I’m sure its seen a lot of over the years.

  5. I think it has been standing there for about 70 years, so it is excused for looking a bit tired, and you’re right, it have probably had it’s share of harsh winters…
Thank you very much Jeff! 🙂

  6. Hey Marie, I was showing my dad your photos and he was really impressed. He’s wondering if he would be able to use the last photo of this post as a model for his watercolor painting. Please let us know if it’s okay! Hope you’re well, take care ~

    • Wow, thank you! 🙂 Absolutely, I’m very honored! I just want cred for the photo if he shows it somewhere. And it would be lovely to see the result, maybe you can post it on your blog when it is finished?
Take care you too, and all the best to you and your family!
