Summer sweets
You may wonder why I photograph this kind of images in black and white, when they could have been so much more intense in colour? Well, I think that black and white leave so much more to our imagination. My intention is to create a feeling, not so much an image.
Sound strange? Yeah, it possibly is…. But I do have a strong intention to take them further in my darkroom, and hopefully create some lith copies, I think they would look awesome in lith.
Until then, I hope you’ll enjoy them in plain black and white 🙂
Sometimes life can be hard… This darling has been scarred by life ❤
beautiful pics!
Thank you very much! 😊
😉
Lovely photos. That Makro Planar is an incredible lens, I tried to prise one out of my friend’s hands. Wasn’t having any of it. Wonderful tone with the HP5 and DDX. What is the grain like?
Thanks a lot!
Yes, it’s an incredible lens, I love it. Well, that depends on if you like grains or not. I absolutely do love grains, so I love HP5+, but yes, you can see them… 😉
Beautyfull pics. The last one with the snail ist my fav.
Thanks a lot! 😊
B&W picture is about Art. Colour usually take attention off the object, composition, light, and simply emotions. In talented made B&W pictures you can feel even colour.
Yes, I totally agree with you, that’s kinda what I’m striving for, but it’s quite hard, maybe there’s why it’s so thrilling to use bw, and I feel I’ll never get enough….. 😉
I like what you do 🙂
Thank you very much Alexander! 😊
🙂
So beautiful. No need for color! I really adore the first image. Ethereal and gives a feeling of otherworldliness.
Thanks a lot, I’m glad you like them! 😊
I definitely do!
Beautiful
Thank you Ellen 😊
Absolutely stunning imagery – makes me long for my old Canon… Just beautiful. Jx
Thank you!
Give yourself a treat, buy some film and take your beautiful camera for a walk, you’ll never know what will happen….😉
When I eventually settling down in one country I’ll set up a dark room. It’s become increasingly difficult to find a decent processor in Europe that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Digital suits my travels, but one day I’ll get back to my true love… Anon x
I wish you the very best of luck!
An absolute joy Marie to open your post and to see such fine images. Absolutely stunning studies.
Thank you very much James, I’m so glad you enjoyed them 😊
You are very welcome Marie.
Deep!
Thank you!
You most definitely captured a feeling – I love that idea so much – and these are really gorgeous shots. Theres something so fascinating about small details I find and you’ve caught that wonderfully.
Than you very much, I’m so glad you can see it. Those tiny things can be very inspirational! 😊
I enjoy your work.
Thank you very much! 😊
