Skyscraper-shapes of Manhattan for my 100th blogpost!

One year ago when I started this blog, I could not even think of the day when I was to write my 100th post….

But here I am, and I must say that I love to blog, but it has been like a rollercoaster with ups and downs, with posts every other day, and sometimes with a month’s break.
I’m hoping for a more continuous continuation to come ….. And it is you, my blogging friends that make this so enjoyable!!

So today, I decided to continue my Manhattan series, with one theme that intrigued me very much when I was there, shapes, surfaces, and interactions between different styles.

I have for many years a very bad neck, and it worried me a little before the trip, but I soon discovered that I got unexpected help from my Hassie on that front. I never had to look up! It was enough and just fine to look down into the view finder, and it saved me both pain and pain killers ….

So here goes, some on film captured, Manhattan cityscapes.

Enjoy!  🙂

  1. wow, those pictures are stunning marie! reminds me that i wanted to post some pictures of my new york trip on my blog as well 😉

  2. Really super pictures. I avoided the crick in the neck when I was there by lying on my back on the pavement (US translation – sidewalk) with a Minox 35?. But that was nigh on 40 years ago and sadly the pictures are long gone. Congratulations on the 100th post – they’ve all given me an enormous amount of pleasure and a great deal to think about. Here’s to the next 100!

  3. Wow these are terrific Marie ….did you get dizzy taking these images with having to constantly look up. They really captivate you as the viewer as these are a cohesive collection of images offering the viewer to appreciate the enormity of the buildings in NY . I hope you have an enjoyable end to the week. J

    • Thanks James!
I was really enjoying all this architecture, it was a true joy to walk on the streets of Manhattan, it was almost hard to choose where to point my look-down-into-Hassie… 😉
      Enjoy your week too!
