Houses dressed in autumn colors

At last the beautiful autumn colors came to Sweden, if so for just some days.

I have gathered a couple of houses, small rural cottages in the in Sweden so common red color, surrounded by autumn leaves.

More autumn colors in later posts…

Enjoy!  🙂

  1. Very nice. That last shot is stunning!
I saw a lot of these cottages from the train from Stockholm the other day, but alas, had no colour flm. They look so nice!

      • Yes, I went there for a weekend. It was the first time I spent more than a couple of hours in Stockholm, and it certainly won’t be the last. We talked about the red cottages on our way home; why are they all painted red, I wonder.

  2. Beautiful colours, and the homes have great character. I think one would have to be happy if one lived in a red house!

    • Yes, finally we got some nice colors here, at one point I didn’t think we would, it was just raining and raining, and the green-brownish leaves were just falling off. But at last the maples and beeches came around quite nice.
Thank you very much James, and have a great weekend you too!

      • Thank you very much! Yes, they are really nice, lots of work with wooden houses though, but very very charming!
I recognize that … Think it is due to stress, for me it is so in all cases.
Take it easy, the weekend is almost here!
Have a great weekend Steve, and thank you for your kind comment!

  3. I was so enchanted by these photos that I found myself brought to tears. It is true I am a bit of a sap, but I must say the phenomenal beauty of these images is absolutely riveting. I am in awe. Well done! Oh how I pictured actually being there…what an experience. Thank you! Many good cheers to you,

    Autumn Jade

  4. Really beautiful and very well shot. I finally cracked and bought a Hasselblad 503cx (today). I love your blog but my bank account doesn’t!!! Keep up the good work.

    • Wow great, John! My huge congrats to you, and my deepest condolences to your bank account… 😉
You will not regret it! And I can’t wait to se your results!
      Have a great weekend!
THANKS for your very kind words!

      • Not sure yet how I’ll scan the 6 x 6 negatives. My film scanner is a dedicated 35mm. I do have (another) flat bed scanner but I don’t think the quality will be that good. On a different note I’ve bought an enlarger and intend to start making my own darkroom prints very soon!

  5. As always, great ones! Makes me consider to go out and shoot the colors with an ovecast sky. Well, as soon as the mix of rain and snow stops falling from the sky that is…

Say, do you use a UV filter for shooting film? I noticed on my last landscape shots quite a bit more haze than I remember being there when I took them and I wonder, if a UV filter would help with that?

  6. Welcome! Thank you for subscribing to follow my blog. I hope you are encouraged, inspired and enjoy the photos I take of life’s events as seen through the lens of my camera.
    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
