Houses dressed in autumn colors
At last the beautiful autumn colors came to Sweden, if so for just some days.
I have gathered a couple of houses, small rural cottages in the in Sweden so common red color, surrounded by autumn leaves.
More autumn colors in later posts…
Enjoy! 🙂
This image made it’s way up to #23 on Flick’r Explore 31/10-12 I’m quite happy about that, and proud! 🙂
Very nice. That last shot is stunning!
I saw a lot of these cottages from the train from Stockholm the other day, but alas, had no colour flm. They look so nice!
Thank you very much!
You’ve been to Stockholm? Nice! Yes, there is red cottages all over Sweden.
Yes, I went there for a weekend. It was the first time I spent more than a couple of hours in Stockholm, and it certainly won’t be the last. We talked about the red cottages on our way home; why are they all painted red, I wonder.
Nice set
Thank you!
excellent set of images, beautiful!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful photos! I can almost hear the leaves crunching under foot.
Yes, they are still a bit crunchy. 🙂 But that will soon been gone too I’m afraid.
Thank you very much Madelin!
Fantastic images!! Well done!
Thank you! 🙂
I Örebro också! Vinten är kommer!
Usch ja, nu är “yllefilten” snart över oss igen, suck…
Tusen tack för besök och kommentar!
(:
Beautiful colours, and the homes have great character. I think one would have to be happy if one lived in a red house!
They are quite charming, but a lot of work too… Really good to photograph though.
Thank you very much Sue!
Now that is what I call Autumn. I really love the third and last images because of their composition and depth of field. Have a great weekend Marie!
Yes, finally we got some nice colors here, at one point I didn’t think we would, it was just raining and raining, and the green-brownish leaves were just falling off. But at last the maples and beeches came around quite nice.
Thank you very much James, and have a great weekend you too!
Many thanks and having looked at your photos I do hope we see a drier Autumn here in the south of England. Hope the weekend weather is better for you..
Beautiful!!
Thank you! 🙂
Wow! Stunning all, but especially that last one!
Thank you very much! Yes, that’s my favorite too….
Really nice.
Thank you very much!
That is so beautiful, I did some autumn photo from the park, will pick the film tomorrow from the lab.
Thank you very much!
That will be nice to see! I have a couple of rolls left to develop, very curious about them too.
I want to live in a place like, so much serenity as always.
“like that”. I’m having a problem lately with thinking I typed a word I didn’t.
Thank you very much! Yes, they are really nice, lots of work with wooden houses though, but very very charming!
I recognize that … Think it is due to stress, for me it is so in all cases.
Take it easy, the weekend is almost here!
Have a great weekend Steve, and thank you for your kind comment!
I was so enchanted by these photos that I found myself brought to tears. It is true I am a bit of a sap, but I must say the phenomenal beauty of these images is absolutely riveting. I am in awe. Well done! Oh how I pictured actually being there…what an experience. Thank you! Many good cheers to you,
Autumn Jade
P.S. Absolutely adore the title as well. Just wonderful!!
Thank you very very much, that’s a really wonderful compliment, that my images touches. To me that is huge!

Really beautiful and very well shot. I finally cracked and bought a Hasselblad 503cx (today). I love your blog but my bank account doesn’t!!! Keep up the good work.
Wow great, John! My huge congrats to you, and my deepest condolences to your bank account… 😉
You will not regret it! And I can’t wait to se your results!
Have a great weekend!
THANKS for your very kind words!
Not sure yet how I’ll scan the 6 x 6 negatives. My film scanner is a dedicated 35mm. I do have (another) flat bed scanner but I don’t think the quality will be that good. On a different note I’ve bought an enlarger and intend to start making my own darkroom prints very soon!
About scanning, check this accessory, it makes true wonder, easy to use and no Newton rings, I use it all the time with my flatbed. http://shop.lomography.com/accessories/accessory-best-sellers/lomography-digitaliza-120
Isn’t that strange, though absolutely great, I very recently bought an used enlarger too! It was a real catch, just couldn’t resist, so I’m hoping to get a darkroom in order soon too! Haven’t done that since 1995 or so. Feels great!
😀
Brilliant. Thanks for the tip about the scanning mask. Good luck with the darkroom.
Thanks. U 2!! 🙂
Sorry for the late comment; I’ve been overloaded with work. Lovely images Marie and those autumn colours don’t need any velvia-risation do they? – I bet they were just as the Portra shows them. The tip about the digitaliza is great because I’m having big problems with flatness of my negs, but does it work for 6mm x 9mm do you know? – I suppose two 6 x 9s should fit into the length of three 6x6s.
Thank you very much!
Oh no, it’s Portra as is, and one is Fuji Pro 160, also unedited.
About your negatives, I have no clue, sorry… Is that 110 film? “Digtaliza” is also in one smaller version for 35mm film, but I have no idea if it fits your negatives. Mail to Lomo and ask them, they brought the 110 film back, maybe they also have tips to help you with the scanning. They have great tipsters in their Magazine too. http://www.lomography.com
Good luck! 🙂
They also have 120 digitaliza, so it should work for 69
As always, great ones! Makes me consider to go out and shoot the colors with an ovecast sky. Well, as soon as the mix of rain and snow stops falling from the sky that is…
Say, do you use a UV filter for shooting film? I noticed on my last landscape shots quite a bit more haze than I remember being there when I took them and I wonder, if a UV filter would help with that?
Thank you very much!
I can’t give you a proper answer to that, sorry. I sometime use filter and sometime not. I am not entirely consistent with filters, sorry.
Wonderful images – the colours are just stunning.
Thank you very much! 🙂
wow wanna a house like that 🙂
Yeah, they are quite charming aren’t they?
Thanks a lot for your visit and kind words! 🙂

Very nice pics and colors
Thank you very much! 🙂

I was going to say no 2, 3 and 4 were brilliant – but no 1 is too! So really like them all – lovely work.
